The wind was so strong that it seems like a snowstorm was coming. Just look at the snow being blown onto the road.

Before we move on, we went to the supermarket to get some food for the journey. Saw the dog "parking" lot. Found it interesting.

Then we also took a look at one of the churches in town. A very different style in terms of the way they built this church.

Leaving this church, we drop by another place along the way. It was one of the most amazing piece of structure that I had ever seen and every single bit of this structure only last for a few months, giving way to new ones in the following year. This place is call, the Ice Hotel. Everything here from bed to roof was built with snow and ice.

I would love to stay in this hotel for at least a night but then it was way way WAY to expensive. So we made our way further down south passing through the arctic circle again. Want to know more about the polar circle? See this.

We drove all the way back to Umea again and we stayed with Jornas again. He was a very nice host. By the time we got to his place, dinner was served.

Day 140
Date: 19 JAN 2009

We spent some time chilling out with Jornas in Umea. He brought us to town and we went to a pretty interesting cafe for some drinks.

Thats the end of our Scandinavia Road Trip. And by the time we return the car to the rental, we lost the car plate. No we did not drop it. But it was all cover up with ICE. haha..
