Day 121 & 122: Happy New Year
Day 121
Date: 31 DEC 2008
The celebration here at Taina's house for new year was crazy. Everyone drank (nope except the kids), danced and partied whole night. Everyone went to bed only at about 8am on new year's day (This includes the kids). Well, for an overview of what we did that day, view the video before proceeding for the photos. It was a hell of a night.
Cool huh? So here are the pictures. The day begin as per normal with the kids singing karaoke on sing star and playing guitar hero on the xbox.
That went on for the whole day and when the clock striked 12, we all went out onto the roof to welcome the new year with some flashes and loud bang!
Then back in the house, it was more singing, drinking and playing of games.
Then I was teaching this young girl how to count in Chinese.
And this guy has a talent to showcase! Guess who is he trying to be?
How can we miss out the good food on new year's day?
This is a special Finnish drink for Xmas and new year! I cant remember, its cognac with something else.
Then its time for a Finnish tradition. First you grab a horse shoe,
then u dump it in the fire and the when it melts, dump it in the water to cool it down.
The end result, an odd shaped item.
Then its time to figure out what you have got and it was susposed to be a sign for your new year. Good or bad? It depends on how you see it.
Hmm... now about 4am, time for bed? Nope, how about some fun in the snow??
And after coming back from the cold, we deicded to warm ourselves up with more booze and dances. And that went on till about 8am the next day.
Day 122
Date: 1 JAN 2009
And so we all went to bed at about 8am in the morning and I woke up at about 2pm. As a result I slept before the sun rises and when I got up, the sun has already set. It was darkness after darkness. Never got to see the light. After a hell of a party yesterday, today was an easy day. Just rest, relax and recover. Chill guys.
