Day 137: Colour of the Sky

Date: 16 JAN 2009

Woke up in the morning and this time round, we had to scrap off ice chips off the windscreen.

Interesting petrol station.

Going further up north, our aim for today is to get into Norway! With the super long sunrise, the sky was in constant baby blue and baby pink. I love this colour. I had never seen a sky so beautiful before. Just think of it. The sky in baby colour? Woh! We both love it so much that we stop every now and then and went snapping away with our cameras.

After a couple of hours, we look behind us and the sun was already beginning to set. It did not even come above the horizon.

Then after more driving, we were in NORWAY!!! YEAH!!

The flat landscape gave way to huge snow mountains.

And just as we were enjoying the view of the mystical mountains, we were greeted by heaps and heaps of reindeers.

Then at night, we went over to our host's place. He is a awesome man with a awesome job. He had already prepared dinner and was waiting for us to dine with him. Food, wine, fireplace to keep us warm. It was nice.

Well, he hosts travellers so much so often that he even dedicated a wall of fame for his visitors. See, he even has it in Arabic. And look out for the car cause it was drawn by us. Haha

Overall he is a very inspiring guy. Freelance job, has got all the time in the world, well to do enough. What more can you ask for.
