ZeeVinCeZ Motorcycle Diary - Part 10 - First Road Trip

I do not know why but the idea of riding long distance to visit places always fancy me. So when I got my R1, I went for my first road trip. Strange isnt it? A sportsbike for a road trip? Anyway, as usual, my leave was quite last min. Therefore I did not do much planning and off I went riding to Cameron Highlands.

Date: 19/3/05 - 21/3/05

It was quite an learning trip for me as I have never been on any road trip experiences before. Normally, what first timer would do is either to join those group who organise trips and just tag along or to follow a few friends. But as for me? Haha my first trip is not to nearby places like malacca or KL. but to the Cameron highlands (which was considered as quite far for me back then)? and no mountain twists? never tried that before man. But i dun care man.. i just wanna try... HA zooooommm............off I went. Just 1 bike, 2 wheels and no experience. Aiya, as the chinese saying goes, "Ping1 Lai2 Jiang4 Dang3, Shui3 Lai2 Tu3 Yen1" :)

I think it would be more fun this way, dont you think so? It is when u get lost, than u will learn. It is only when u do things yourself, and not follow blindly , than u will gain valuable experiences. Anyway, here are my photos.

They have really big roses here. No wonder my friend drove all the way here to buy roses for his girlfriend during valentine's day.

Cambodia trouble - Part 2(Tyres)

Here is the part 2 of the cambodia trouble. The same guy is on the same bike on another day.

He was riding 50km/hr at max rev on the bike. Suddenly he heard a very loud bang and his bike was dancing like in a disco. It is then he realise that his rear tyre has blown off. It was a very serious blow, such that 1/2 of the inner tube was gone.

Once again, he was in the middle of nowhere, Bokheo is 20km east and Banluy is 20km/west. There is nothing he can do can so he decided to cut out the whole inner tube and just ride slowly on the rim. However, to his surprise, a few farmers nearby came up to him, gave him cottons and started to help him stuff the cottons into the tyre. YES, they wanted him to run on cotton instead of air. Well he has no choice but to give it a try.

Started the engine, open te throttle and release the clutch. HAHAHA... and the bike did move. and so he wobble his way back to town on cotton.

Possible? I think it is although I have never try it before and I do not wish to be in such a situation. Anyway it is just a true life story which I read from a book. So do u think it is possible??

ZeeVinCeZ Motorcycle Diary - Part 9 - First few rides

Well, some of you might be wondering about how did I start to fall in love with touring? Why did i even have the idea of riding all the way to Thailand? It all started from the time when I still have my R1. When I started to join short trips, short rides with bikers from Singapore Bike Forum to different places in Malaysia. It grew from curoiusity to love.

This is one of my first few rides. A ride, to visit the poor animals which were all unwanted. This is a company, first started in Singapore, but shifted to Johor due to certain reasons. Well, ofcourse we made some donations. This place is full of animals. It is just like a mini zoo. It is called Noah's Ark Natural Animal Sanctuary, 3th April 2005. Check it out.

Noah's Ark Natural Animal Sanctuary. Its a house full of dogs.

Besides dogs, they have also horses, which used to be from the Singapore Turf Club. Its a retired horse.

Snakes......

They do not earn profit. So they need donations to help them mantain the animals. Things like animal medications, shampoos etc are very welcome.

In order to get here, U got to go through alittle bit of off road.

Anyone interested of going there? Any animal lovers? I think I still remember the way.. Let me know if you wanna go.

100 man Prank

This is the original video clip which the Channel8/U copied from. I think the local version its xin dong wang or something. This is the orginal Japanese version.

Riding in the cold.

Have you ever wonder about the feeling of riding in appox 5degree tempreture weather with strong wind blowing at u when u ride? It must be a damn cold feeling. especially at the fingers. However, those guys in that kinda countries have their ways of protecting themselves from the coldness while riding.

I saw this when i was in china. It was on every single motorcycle i came across. It keeps the hand warm while riding.. and its kinda cute....
